Week 10 Waiver Wire
Note: Every suggestion will be pulled from either the Yahoo or ESPN rostership, and everyone in these articles will be less than 50% rostered on at least one of those sites. Only some leagues are cut and dry the same so this is just a template for a 12 team full PPR league. There may be players that would have made this article but are rostered in over 50% of the leagues on both sites so they were not included because you’re either in a smaller league or bigger league. If you have questions, please get in chat and ask. Going forward, I will list the bye week schedule below as it is going to become more important as we plan for that moving forward.
Week 5: DET, LAC, PHI, TEN
Week 6: KC, LAR, MIA, MIN
Week 7: CHI, DAL
Week 8: NONE
Week 9: PIT, SF
Week 10: CLE, GB, LV, SEA
Week 11: ARI, CAR, NYG, TB
Week 12: ATL, BUF, CIN, JAX, NO, NYJ
Week 13: NONE
Week 14: BAL, DEN, HOU, IND, NE, WAS
QB
Anthony Richardson (Indianapolis Colts) – 0%
It is well known how I feel about AR. Joe Flacco stunk up the place in Week 9 and the Colts had their worst offensive outing of the year with the 2nd worst being Joe Flacco’s last start against the Titans. I wouldn’t be surprised if Steichen is taking a bullet for AR and throwing Joe Flacco to the wolves against the gauntlet that is Minnesota, Buffalo, and New York so Richardson isn’t put in a blender mentally. I give Joe 2-3 more weeks and then it is back to Richardson and you’ll want him on your bench when that happens.
Tua Tagovailoa (Miami Dolphins) – 0%
This is a great atmosphere for Tua in Week 10 as Miami travels across the country to LA to face the Rams on MNF. The Rams are allowing the 4th highest Passing YPP (7.2) and have allowed the 5th most passing TDs (15) on the season in one less game than everyone who has given up more.
Daniel Jones (New York Giants) – %
Jones offers a high floor due to his rushing and he likely uses it again in Week 10 against the Panthers in Germany. In Week 9 he ended with 24.4 fantasy points with 0 passing yards at half on the back of 54 rushing yards and a score. He ended with 174 passing yards and 2 scores in the air. Carolina has bottom 10 passing metrics almost across the board.
RB
RB is a shit show so I’ll be doing something a little different this week. There are absolutely NO backs out there that are worth a roster space outside of handcuffs. So I tightened up the handcuff list and recommend just doing down that list and stashing handcuffs if you have the space.
Top RB Handcuffs
- Braelon Allen (New York Jets)
- Zach Charbonnet (Seattle Seahawks)
- Tyler Allgeier (Atlanta Falcons)
- Blake Corum (LA Rams)
- Ray Davis (Buffalo Bills)
- Cam Akers (Minnesota Vikings)
- Emanuel Wilson (Green Bay Packers)
- Sean Tucker (Tampa Bay Buccaneers)
- Roschon Johnson (Chicago Bears)
- Dameon Pierce (Houston Texans)
- Kimani Vidal (LA Chargers)
- Jalen Wright (Miami Dolphins)
- Antonio Gibson (New England Patriots)
- Dalvin Cook (Dallas Cowboys)
- Tyler Goodson (Indianapolis Colts)
- Trey Benson (Arizona Cardinals)
WR
Cedric Tillman (Cleveland Browns) – 50%
Over the last three games Tillman has a 91% Route participation and a team high 24% target share, seeing at least nine targets in each game, scoring 18.1, 58.9, and 19.5 PPR points in those games. The Browns have a bye week but he is someone you need on your team and should be viewed as a WR2 as the season runs out.
Xavier Legette (Carolina Panthers) – %
Legette has shown some rookie mistakes but overall has played well with Bryce Young under center. Over the last two games Legette has a team high 76% route participation, 25% TPRR and 12.8 ADOT with 34% of the team’s air yards. He has caught eight of his 13 targets for 77 yards and two scores, having 13.4 and 13.9 PPR points. The Panthers play the Giants in Week 10.
Jalen Tolbert (Dallas Cowboys) – 0%
Since Cooks went on the IR Tolbert has a 94% route participation and a 15% target share with a nice 13.2 ADOT. We are in limbo at the moment on if CeeDee Lamb is going to miss time with an AC injury but we do know that Dak Prescott is going to miss time. Usually backup QBs don’t have the same connection with the elite starters due to chemistry and regardless if Trey Lance or Cooper Rush gets the nod at QB, we could see Tolbert be the new go-to guy if Lamb also misses time.
DeMario Douglas (New England Patriots) – 0%
I don’t expect the Patriots to throw the ball 41 times every week but in the three games that Drake Maye has started and played the majority of the game, Douglas has been peppered. In those three games he has a 32% TPRR, 30% TPRR, and 22% TPRR with 9 targets in each of the two games (Week 6 and Week 9) where Douglas was healthy and wasn’t sick (Week 7). Douglas is a solid Bye week flier in PPR formats.
TE
Mike Gesicki (Cincinnati Bengals) – 5%
Whenever Higgins is out, Gesicki eats. He is coming off of an insane five catch performance for 100 yards and two scores on six targets including a 47 yard TD, good for 27 PPR points. He had 12.3 PPR points in Week 8 as well without Higgins and I’m going to assume Higgins is out again in Week 10 on a short week against the Ravens, who have allowed the most yards per game (67.6) to opposing TEs so far this year.
Hunter Henry (New England Patriots) – 5%
Hunter Henry’s usage has been great and one of the few TEs we can rely on to have a consistent target share. He has seen at least six targets each of the last three weeks with an 82% route participation and 21% TPRR with a respectable 8.6 ADOT to boot and 24% of the Patriots air yards. The Patriots get the Bears in Week 10 so expect quite a bit of quick passes to help Drake Maye.
Taysom Hill (New Orleans Saints) – 0%
Taysom Hill is annoying but he isn’t going away. I personally prefer the traditional PPR guys at TE but Taysom is going to vulture TDs every change he gets. He now has scored 14.4, 6.2, and 16.0 PPR points over his last three healthy games. The Saints play the Falcons in Week 10 which figures to give Taysom a shot or two at a goal line score.
DST
Buffalo Bills – 0%
DST is tough this week given the parody at the position but since the Bills played Miami in Week 9, they are available in 48% of leagues. They will visit the Colts in Week 10 and regardless of who is at QB, they should have no issues causing distress in the backfield and forcing sacks plus turnovers.
Atlanta Falcons – 0%
A defense that played better in Week 9 against the Dallas Cowboys and is expected to improve as the season progresses under defensive coach Raheem Morris. They visit the Saints in Week 10 and usually teams raly around a Head Coach firing but the Saints are cooked and unlikely to find that fuel. They are turning on QB Derek Carr and have a porous offensive line.
Arizona Cardinals – 0%
Don’t look now but the Cardinals have only allowed 17 PPG over the last three weeks and are showing signs of turning the corner under Head Coach Jonathan Gannon. They are fresh off of a six sack, 12 point performance against the Bears and are the very least offer a high floor against an archaic offense for the Jets with Aaron Rodgers under center.
