Unit Structure:
As mentioned, we will be moving to a new unit structure. The best I can do is go over my unit structure and how I maintain my account.Â
I do not recognize the 100 unit account and your unit being one percent of your bankroll. What I have found that works best for me is to have a bank roll you plan on setting for the month. Let’s say that bankroll is $2,000 (just using a round number for arguments sake). I start my week by adding only a percentage of that bankroll to my account, roughly 25%. So I start my week around $500.Â
There are two reasons why I do this. The first reason is that we know we will have losing days, and even a losing week or month. The tighter we play, the less room for error there is. We no longer will be a company looking to hit 10-20 units a night and advertising being up hundreds of units. This is a VIP service that will set the expectation that we are humans with families, bills, expenses, and hobbies we like to fund. We will use this as a way to add extra income to our pockets, not a supplementation. We will aim for small profits daily to build consistency and success. When we have a losing few days, we want to ensure that we have reserves to redeposit instead of going over our allotted bankroll, putting ourselves in the negative. If we stick to this, we will never be in trouble.
Now that we’ve established the reasoning of this bankroll structure, here’s how I like to do it. Each night we will focus on one to two games, aim to hit both, and call it a night. Consistency means EVERYTHING here. How you handle your bankroll will be entirely up to you, but I will be logging my plays based on deposits and withdrawals. If today we hypothetically add $1,000 to the bank roll, my one unit will be $1,000. So if you see a play at .5 unit, it is a $500 play being made. If it is a .3u play, it will be a $300 unit play. Even though we are only playing .3 units in one play, that is still a significant financial incentive to withdraw $300 at the end of the night. That $300 will go a long way when covering bills or fun spending, and each week we will log a profit & loss. I will post a spreadsheet with a scale of what your units should be from .01 – 1 unit based on the $1,000 bankroll for myself for example.Â
With this structure, making a .02 unit play makes playing long shot parlays- especially long shot alt-line parlays, feasible. While the numbers may not look visually appealing or enticing to you, the structure and withdrawals will.Â
