Florida vs Buffalo:

  • We have two 1pm games today that should be two opposite game flows. In Buffalo, I expect a fast paced wide open game. The back and forth should be fluid with both teams spending a lot of time in each other’s zone.
  • Florida should control most of the game and the physicality. I expect Florida to need more shot attempts and possession to score than Buffalo.
  • I expect Buffalo to need less time and control to execute on their end.
  • This is a game that should see Florida win but in a close scoring 4-3 type game.
  • I’m playing the game on the total expecting both offenses to find the back of the net throughout the game.
  • Additional plays: Game over 3.5 / 4.5 / Florida TT over 1.5 / Florida over 34.5 shots

Philly vs Buffalo:

  • Philly comes in winning three in a row, beating Washington twice in that span.
  • Carter Hart started both of those games against Washington and gets the start again today in Boston.
  • Hart is 4-6-2 against Boston with a career GAA of 3.72.
  • Boston has the best home record in the league and the best goal differential.
  • I am expecting this game to be a slow one for the Flyers. I don’t feel there is enough edge or value here to make a play on this game other than using Boston as a parlay piece on the ML or the alt line for their TT. I don’t like betting on Carter Hart to give up 4 goals today because as bad as his numbers look against Boston, he is having a great year overall. I don’t feel his past numbers against Boston equate to how he will play today, especially with Tortorella behind Philly’s bench.
  • Boston beat Philly 4-1 earlier this season so I expect the same type of lower scoring win in Boston’s favor.

Detroit vs Colorado:

  • We currently have a play on the ML tied to Boston so here is what I expect:
  • Colorado’s offense got back on track as expected against a bad Ottawa team.
  • Colorado has won the last 8 meetings between these two teams and Detroit comes in second worst in the league allowing 3.78 goals per game.
  • I expect Colorado to control most of the game today. Colorado should be able to put up 4+ offensively with Detroit being able to contribute a minimum of 2.

Devils vs San Jose

  • The Devils offense is rolling right now and they have very favorable matchups against weak Western Conference teams.
  • The Devils offense is averaging 3.53 goals per game and have scored 3 or more in their last 8. Defensively, they give up their fair share as well.
  • Being a 4pm game, and coming off winning 5 of 6, I expect the Devils to play more of a loose game today.
  • San Jose is not a good team but they have play makers and with New Jersey coming in playing their 4th game in 6 days, I expect San Jose to find the back of the net.
  • Typically these two teams play low scoring boring games so I am not officially making a play, but I have already included the Devils team totals in some alt line parlays in chat.
  • If the game starts slow and the Devils total drops to 2.5 or 3, I may hit it live that way.
  • This could be a trap game for Jersey so with so many other games on tap, I am proceeding cautiously here. This Devils team is a worlds difference better than the Devils teams the Sharks have been able to play tight with in the past few years so the Devils could put up some numbers today.

Tampa Bay vs Seattle:

  • Here’s what you need to know:
    • Seattle has not beaten Tampa in three games.
    • Each game they’ve lost has been by 2 or more goals.
    • Seattle just swept a 7 game road trip and set a NHL record as the only team to ever do so.
    • They return home against Tampa today and play a matinee game.
    • This is where Seattle is most likely to get caught and put up a dud of a game.
    • I want no part of this matchup since Tampa currently has their number.
    • If the game goes off we can jump on it live but this is a game I want 0 part of.

Dallas vs Vegas:

  • I don’t play Vegas when Mark Stone is out.
  • I fucking hate Vegas.
  • Go read what’s going on with Robin Lehner and his snake fucking farm.
  • Dallas is an elite team in the league in my opinion and would rather play them on the + side today.
  • Neither goal is currently confirmed so I would wait until Jake Oettinger is confirmed before making a play because I would not want Dallas if Scott Wedgewood is in net.
  • In terms of gambling, we have an open parlay with Boston/Colorado right now, the Colorado over, and I like the 7pm games much more than this matchup. If you need to force a play I prefer Dallas to win, but I personally left this game off every one of my plays today including the alt lines. I do not feel its a matchup necessary with the rest on the board.
