Welcome Everyone to the 2024 MLB Season!
We’ve had a few games postponed so the first game of the day will be at 3pm with the Los Angeles Angels playing the Baltimore Orioles. Whether it’s the weather or the first game of the season, this line is too low. The Angels will finish as one of the worst teams in the AL this year and a matchup with Corbin Burnes should start them 0-1. I touched in my preseason predictions how this Baltimore lineup will need to work to get the job done and we should see a glimpse of that today. I don’t believe it will take much for Baltimore to win this game outright so I am going to start the season pretty heavily on them.

Washington / Cincinnati
This will be the first total we target this year and we will be leaning on Washington to carry the way. Frankie Montas is a career 4 ERA pitcher who lasted 1.1 inning in 2023 before undergoing shoulder surgery. This will be Montas return and asking him to put out a top performance in 55 degree weather with the wind slightly blowing out (9mph) is asking a lot. The Nationals lineup isn’t as bad as you may think or it may look with Lane Thomas, Jesse Winker, Joey Gallo, Eddie Rosario, and Nick Senzel. The Nats won’t be going anywhere this season so most of these guys will look to be valued trade deadline pieces. Cincy is a place I love to target runs and will today.
