Hey Everyone,
Sorry I didn’t have the late game posted, I had a tough day personally and was out of touch. Tonight will be different, and I will have the series breakdowns for Dallas and Edmonton shortly. I also posted the Canucks breakdown and will be posting the series plays below.
Toronto vs. Boston:
I expect more from Toronto tonight, but William Nylander will be out again. Toronto continues to struggle to score against the Bruins, and Jeremy Swayman keeps padding his numbers against them. Ilya Samsonov will give up goals, so I am going to the over 5.5.
Islanders vs. Carolina:
The Islanders played well against Carolina, but they did so in Game 1 last season as well. Game 2 was a different story and the Isles were able to take the game to overtime. It took the Isles a minute into the game to take their first penalty and give up an immediate power-play goal. The penalty itself was bullshit but it still happened. Carolina did a lot of diving in Game 1, and the referees bought into it. The Isles looked really good and looked like they refused to get down and stay down. Freddy Andersen looked very shaky in net, and the Islanders should capitalize on it more tonight, playing with more confidence. The team total at 1.5 is steep at -200 but I want it and I don’t want to risk missing it live so I’m going to lay the juice here. I think this is the Islanders game to win and catch a Hurricanes team that should have given up the lead goal to Kyle Palmieri if the puck hadn’t slipped off his blade, missing the empty net. Anders Lee looked great and played how they need him to play if they’re going to have a chance this series.
