Thanksgiving Eve Game Notes

Hey Everyone,

I want to start off first by saying Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. It has been a long past two weeks personally and I have been dealing with some family stuff as well as stuff with my daughter. You all know me, and know that family comes first so being out of chat these past two weeks has been something I needed for myself to focus on what I have been dealing with. I should be back by next week and we will pick up right where we were. I cannot express the gratitude I have for everyone who has renewed and stuck around, and supported me. I will find ways to show the gratitude I have once I am back.

I will make sure I get all my plays graded, logged, and calculated once I am back, but I do believe we have been winning while I have been away. Vegas has been the one team this past week letting us down, go figure. I was watching the OT game against the Flyers and was sick to see us lose like that. There are no games scheduled for tomorrow, so I want everyone to enjoy their Thanksgiving and tail Sanaynay for his football plays. It was nice getting Jalen 2+ TDs on Monday, but was disappointed we lost the team total.

Articles will be back, so let’s get right into tonight:

Edmonton vs. Carolina

Carolina has not been the team I expected so far this season. I don’t worry about them long term or in the playoffs, but they have not been as profitable and consistent as I would have liked to see. Freddy Andersen is hurt again so we can’t trust them defensively either. Edmonton’s offense has picked up since the embarrassing loss to the Sharks and the coaching change. I am shocked to see their team total at 2.5 even being a possibility tonight. With Antti Raanta in net, I want to be on this side. It’s a high risk line, but I am riding the offense into the break.

Chicago vs. Columbus

You’re playing two bad teams to play two bad games defensively and I want to with 5.5 being  -165 tonight. Tonight’s matchup all comes down to goaltending. Petr Mrazek and Elvis Merzlikins putting up Vezina type games will be what beats us. Both teams should have plenty of scoring opportunities and both teams are giving up an average of 3.5 goals per game. If neither goalie is on point tonight, this game is a potential ladder. We’ll play it small pregame, and if the game opens up with some early scoring then I may jump on it live as well.

New Jersey vs. Detroit

The Devils have been dealing with some injuries throughout the course of the season but they have been a team that have generated us a good amount of wins. Tonight is a game to be careful of. Their team total at 3.5 is higher than I’d like, especially on the road, but Alex Lyon starting for Detroit is what bumps the total up. This is a game where I would prefer to target live. I like the Devils to put up three tonight so waiting a few minutes into the game to get the team total of 3 to drop from -200 to the -150 range would be a solid play. Detroit is an unknown tonight. They are a team I told you would come back to earth after the first two weeks and they have. The Wings are now 8-6-3 after starting the season 5-1 averaging over 4 goals per game. Their offense has gone from 1st to 7th, and they’re under .500. In five starts against Vitek Vanecek, the Wings have score three or more in three of those games. I do expect New Jersey to win this in a 3-2 / 4-2 / 4-3 type game, but I am not confident enough in Detroit to play the game over.

Boston vs. Florida

I was on point with these two in their last matchup and am staying away from them again tonight.

Rangers vs. Pittsburgh

This is going to be a complete rebound/regression game for both teams. The Rangers are coming off an embarrassing end loss to Dallas after blowing the lead and giving up six straight goals (two empty nets). Pittsburgh is coming off a 3-0 shutout win against Vegas in a game we laddered the over. The Rangers 2.5 team total is a 5u max. If you don’t want to lay the juice, play 3 and risk the push. I will be laddering the Rangers side up to 6.

Winnipeg vs. Tampa Bay

What I can tell you about this matchup is that it doesn’t happen often and they are two very different teams. The history favors the over but it’s not a matchup I have spent time watching to even give you the input on what I have seen between the two. Play at your own desire.

Washington vs. Buffalo

Washington has been playing above expectation and I feel the line is too low on their ML. These two teams score a lot when they play. 5.5 at -150 is a steal for this matchup. It’s a potential ladder to 7 as well.

Philadelphia vs. New York Islanders

Philadelphia used to own the Islanders. The Isles have won 7 in a row at home, and are 11-2 against them in the past 13. There was a time where the Flyers won 33 of 39 matchups over the course of six years. I like the Islanders to win tonight, but not enough to risk a loss.

San Jose vs. Seattle

Seattle does not traditionally play San Jose well. They have been playing better offensively and I see them having the lead ass well as three goals in the third. With Daccord in net for Seattle, I don’t hate the game over at 5.5 as well. I will have official plays posted in a few hours, but wanted to get back in article mode and drop some thoughts for the huge slate.

Will see you all soon.
