Los Angeles vs Toronto
The way I like to play NHL is by planning ahead. I won’t play every single day, and if I do want to have action in on a given day, I’ll keep it light. There are too many better and more favorable matchups wen looking at tomorrow’s schedule compared to tonight. With that being said I am going to tell you flat out that my personal plays tonight will consist of a 3 team alt line parlay. Last night was a monster night basically sweeping outside of the Minnesota ML for 1u. I am NOT giving any of last nights money back on a bullshit slate like tonight. We have only 5 matchups on tap, three out of conference ones, and two divisional ones. Barstool is offering alt lines as low as 2 on Toronto and they will be the first leg of my parlay. Do i really think we need to go as low as 2? No. Not here. Everyone and their ugly mother’s were freaking out about Toronto in the beginning of the season after they lost 4 in a row. I sat here in chat and told everyone Toronto was fine, and even broke down how out of conference, west coast trips are the devil to some teams and you cannot put weight into those losses when analyzing the team. Toronto lost 5 games to Arizona, Vegas, San Jose, La, and Anaheim. Everyone called for Sheldon Keefe to be fired, bring in Barry Trotz, and went nuts saying this team is in trouble. Since then, they’re 12-5 and are back into second place in the division right behind Boston who I told you would be the team to give them a run for their money for the division win. This team is fine and this team is rolling. The reason why I’m going to be laying low tonight is because they’re coming off a shut out win against Dallas, and heading home to play a WEST COAST team who they already lost to. In their last 4 matchups against the Kings, they’ve scored more than two goals 0 times. Do I think they’re going to struggle tonight? perhaps, but the kings are still averaging 3.54 goals against per game. This game can go either way tonight, but I like to think Toronto will come out firing. If you’re feeling ballsy you can use what I said about their western team struggles and play their under but, as mentioned, tonight’s not a night where we need to go crazy.

Nashville vs Tampa Bay
Another out of conference game where teams only see each other twice a year. This is a matchup I’ve watched over the years and there’s no consistency to these matchups. If they meet 10 times Tampa would win 7 of them but that was before Tampa because this years team that I am very down on. If they did meet 10 times, they’d most likely go over 5 times and under the other 5. In other words, you pretty much are guessing which way this game is going to go because they are two very good rosters who like to compete. I may enjoy just watching this game tonight but I will not be betting on it. If you want to use the game over of 4 or 4.5 in a parlay, you *could,* but I wont be.

Florida vs Detroit
This will be the anchor of my plays tonight depending on lineups. Sacha Barkov missed last game due to illness and should be a GTD decision tonight. If he plays I will be on the Panthers team total. Even without him, I will be using their team total in my alt line parlay. This game should be the more exciting game to watch on tv tonight and should have the most scoring. I’d like to see who’s in net for Florid before making a play on the game officially because I value Spencer night and Bobrovsky very different. I’ve been watching Knight since they drafted him and Florida is taking their time with him. He is going to be the head of the next goalie wave in the league imo and could and should be the next Vasilevskiy. This kid is phenomenal and they’re working on giving him the time he needs to carry the load as a #1 goalie. I don’t like betting against him often so if he starts tonight I’ll be off the game total. If Bob starts I will be on it. Florida does well against Detroit but these two are very different teams of years past. 5.5 is only -175 on the day compared to playing Florida’s team total at 3.5, so if im going to need 4 to win my side of it, I’d rather play the game as a whole since Detroit is averaging over 3 goals per game. We should see a lot of wide open scoring tonight so once goalies are confirmed, I’ll be locking in our play on it

Winnipeg vs St. Louis
I know a lot of you mentioned this is a game you’re excited about and ready to pound the over on but I won’t be. If I’m wrong, I lose nothing, I just miss out on a win. St. Louis has been giving up 4+ goals against per game lately but majority of those games, like Toronto’s case from before, have been against EAST Coast teams with 5 of those games being on the road. It’s not the same when you’re heading back home against a divisional foe you have a lot of history against. West Coast vs East Coast hockey is very different So I cannot put the same weight in those goals against as I would with them playing Winnipeg. I don’t think this is an easy win but if you are going to play it i highly recommend playing 5.5 for -143. I don’t like betting against Connor Hellebuyck when he’s having his good seasons and this year he’s 13-5-1 with a 2.26 GAA. He is struggling more on the road with a 3.48 GAA compared to a 1.36 GAA at home so like i said, I don’t hate it if you all want to play it, I personally just am not.

Ottawa vs Dallas
This is the other game I like tonight. Coming off a 4-0 shutout loss to Toronto sets Dallas up for a nice rebound game tonight. Dallas will be the third team in my alt line parlay and I may have a little on their 3.5 team total posted. Ottawa is on the road against the 3rd best offense in the league so this should set up for goals, and a lot of them. I think Dallas wins this game in 4-1 / 5-2 type fashion. Not too much to go into imo, this is a game that I’m heading into the way I went into Edmonton last night
