Thursday NHL Pregame Plays 4/5

Hey everyone,

We had a great end to our day yesterday outside of the Twins game who had ample opportunities to score. It was infuriating watching that game with every strikeout after strikeout. NHL smashed, and I realize from the comment that there is an issue with live totals on flat numbers. I will adjust the plays being posted going forward and will recommend playing them at the pre-game line when they’re flat since Barstool isn’t around to offer them anymore and there are some of you who are limited on getting them. I will be with my daughter this weekend and likely won’t have articles out this weekend. I will be working on tomorrow’s articles now for NHL and MLB because I will have limited time tomorrow. NHL is going to be pretty light with the limited slate.

I’ve been eliminating plays that I’m half in on based on what should happen, and it has been a significant turn in our success this past month, and the over in Philly/Buffalo would classify as one of those plays. I would expect this game to be more open and have goals, especially with the history between the two but I’m just not sold on Philly’s offense, and I like Ukko in net for Buffalo. This game is a toss-up for me and a game I’ll be rooting for Buffalo to win with the Isles current playoff standing. The Isles letting Philly tie the game with nine seconds left cost them an important point that Philly was able to get by taking the game to overtime. They are both tied for the third spot in terms of points so if Philly loses in regulation, the Isles will jump them. Personally, I’d love to see the Isles stay in the final wild-card spot and set up a first-round matchup with the Rangers if they finish as the top seed in the East. I’m laying off this game and hoping for a Buffalo win.

Carolina is going to have two axes to grind. One with the bad loss to Boston tonight, and two with the loss to Washington last time they played blowing multiple leads and then going scoreless over five rounds in the shootout. Darcy Keumper should start for Washington, with Charlie Lindgren getting the loss against the Penguins tonight. Keumper is 2-5-1 against the ‘Canes with a 3.53 GAA. I really expect Carolina to stomp Washington here, and I am just loading into it and letting the dominant team know I know Carolina is put in work.

The other game I am on is Seattle-Anaheim. Shane Wright has been called up and I am ecstatic. I love this kid and can’t wait for him to have a full season of work. Seattle is taking their time with him, especially after his drop-off in the draft two seasons ago. Seattle has been eliminated from the playoffs but they are a team that believes they belong there and will be playing with pride to end the season heading into next year. A matchup against a Ducks team who they’ve won six in a row against after losing three of their first four is a matchup we want to target. The Kraken are a good team, this just isn’t their year. They swept the Ducks in a back-to-back and should get another win tomorrow. Their team total comes in at three so I will be laying into it expecting us to be in a position by the third to push at worst. I will keep an eye out for anything live but these are my two top plays and will be playing the rest on MLB.

Official Plays:

  • 7:08 pm Carolina Team Total over 3.5 -120: 3u
  • 10:08 pm Seattle Kraken Team Total over 3 -155: 3u
