Carolina vs Florida:

  • This has been a very streaky series between these two who saw each other eight times during the covid realignment season. After FLorida won the first game in 2021 Carolina won the next six. Florida has rebounded by winning the last four matchups between these two.
  • Florida is a different team this season and are a lot tougher grittier team than they were last season. The problem for them is that it has all come from the acquisition of Matthew Tkachuk. Tkachuk was suspended November 5th for slashing Jonathan Quick in the face and will miss tonight’s game.
  • The Panthers are 3-0-1 at home but Carolina is 5-1-1 on the road so I don’t believe home ice will make a difference for the Panthers.
  • Florida is scoring a goal less per game this season and are missing Jonathan Huberdeau and MacKenzie Weegar.
  • Carolina should be able to control this game and even more so without Tkachuk in the lineup. WIthout Tkachuk, Carolina should be able to keep them composure and play out the game based on skill alone. Carolina is the better team and should come out of this on top.
  • This game can go either way on the total but I am not confident in Florida’s offense with Tkachuk out if Andersen is in net.

Penguins vs Washington:

  • We all know what the Penguins have done to us this past week so you need to go into this game with caution.
  • When the Penguins and Capitals play, you need to bet the over. This has gone over 13 times in the last 18 games against each other and has been a matchup I have been playing due to the Crosby Ovechkin rivalry.
  • Playing this game outside of that should look like a Penguins win but they can’t be trusted right now. Washington is completely decimated by injuries but shocked us by putting up 5 goals last night. Edmonton’s goaltending has been atrocious so make of it what you will.
  • Both teams have struggled defensively so I am not overthinking it, playing the trend, and putting a unit or two on the game over.

Canucks vs Montreal:

  • Both teams will be playing on a back to back so both teams should be on equal ground.
  • Montreal being favored is wrong.
  • Sam Montembeault should be in net tomorrow with Thatcher Demko getting the nod for Vancouver.
  • Montreal is getting too much love here and I’m not sure why but Vancouver has been playing much better winning 4 of their last 6 losing to the Devils (top in metro) and Nashville. This should be a game that slows down a bit but allows Vancouver to edge Montreal out.
  • I wouldn’t go crazy on the over. This could easily be a 4-3 final for Vancouver but I would feel much safer playing Vancouver on the ML. Vancouver is the more experienced skilled team and should have the ability to lock Montreal down. If the game is going to go over it should result in a Canucks win anyway.

Minnesota vs Anaheim:

  • You have to have the stones to go back to Minnesota here. This game should be the game that flies over the total tonight.
  • The Ducks are giving up around 4.5 goals per game against a Minnesota team that is looking to get back on track offensively. This is the game you would expect Minnesota to be able to do it.
  • The pace should be fast paced with Minnesota getting out early and often. Anaheim should be able to contribute 2 goals to the total. With how questionable Minnesota has been for us I would be looking to get
