This series will go much differently for Boston than the Toronto series. While Boston enters this matchup having won all four regular-season matchups between the two, I expect this to be an easy series for Florida. Jeremy Swayman will be the key for Florida, and I expect him to be pulled by game 4 or 5. Swayman will be overestimated and over-relied upon in this series based on his play against Toronto, but a matchup against Florida should show everyone how bad he really is.
I will be laying off the series bets here on the total games because the line is too high for a series I could see ending in 5 games. Sergei Bobrovsky played phenomenally in the first round against Tampa and should see a less potent offense with the Bruins. This series for Florida will be all mental. They should come out firing if they can put the regular season behind them. Sam Bennett is out, so that could affect them, but they’ve played well in the three games he’s missed in the playoffs. I will be playing Florida’s team total every game this series in lieu of the series bets especially with the line coming in at 2.5 and 3. I truly expect Swayman to get torched, and I will be looking to make up for our first-round losses on the Boston series here by riding Florida.
