Anaheim vs Vegas:

  • The Ducks are 4-20 all time against the Knights since they came into the league.
  • Vegas has scored 3 or more goals in their matchups in all but 3 of them.
  • The lines don’t hold any value to me tonight. The -300 ML isn’t worth using as a parlay leg in my opinion so if I was going to play this game I would look at the 2.5/3 team total. 3.5 at -160 is a lot of juice to lay on 4 goals but I don’t necessarily think it won’t hit. As someone who loves to lay the juice, I like doing it in calculated spots where I feel there is a significant edge and I just don’t see that edge in this matchup.
  • The Ducks are the second lowest scoring team in the league.

Boston vs Columbus:

  • Boston continues to roll putting up another 5 goals last night cashing our over and parlay leg.
  • Elvis Merzlikins has had a very rough start to the season and tonight won’t get any easier. In 3 matchups last season Merzlikins gave up 3+ goals each start with Columbus giving up 32+ shots per game (32, 37, 40).
  • I mentioned last night Brad Marchand was back in the lineup and he put up 3 points with 2 goals and an assist.
  • My only concern would be Boston coming in on a back to back but less of a concern with Ullmark being in net tonight. This should be an up-tempo offensive game from both teams.

Carolina vs Islanders:

  • The Islanders have not had success against the Hurricanes since 2019. It started with a playoff sweep in the semi finals. They’re 1-10 against them in their last 11 matchups.
  • Carolina is the far superior team here and Ilya Sorokin starting for the Isles is the only thing that would keep this game close.
  • 5-2 is a recurring final score between these two for what it’s worth.
  • The Islanders just have not played well so far this season and they are struggling offensively. They are bottom 8th in the league in goals for but top in the league in goals against.
  • With Frederik Andersen in net I expect a low scoring game that sees Carolina net an empty net goal or two. Looking at 1 3-1 / 4-1 / 4-2 type final which could set up the 5-2 recurring score.
  • Carolina is a complete team. Offensively, defensively, and in net. They are worlds apart and will be playing them both ways tonight.

Pittsburgh vs Vancouver:

  • We are going to continue targeting Vancouver. They have been one of the more profitable teams in the league giving up the second most goals in the league, only having one win over their first 8 games, while still averaging close to 3 goals per game.
  • Pittsburgh comes in blowing a two goal lead against Edmonton last game and being shut out offensively in the final 28 minutes of the game. They also come in as the 4th highest scoring team in the league.
  • Pitt should dominate tonight’s game offensively especially with Vancouver coming in on a back to back with Spencer Martin expected to start tonight. With Tristan Jarry in net I expect Vancouver to contribute offensively.
