Mock Draft 1.0

Mock Draft 1.0

Hey what’s up everyone! My first mock of draft season is below. Every mock I do is based on what I think is going to happen rather than what should happen. I won’t account for any trades until my last mock draft so some of the players I pegged to certain teams but I don’t think it will be that specific spot. As always, give your thoughts and let me know what you think!

1. Chicago Bears (from CAR) – Caleb Williams (QB USC)

The no brainer 1st pick of the draft.

2. Washington Commanders – JJ McCarthy (QB Michigan)

JJ McCarthy has the 2nd highest ceiling in this class behind Williams and I think he fits what Kliff Kingsbury and the Washington Commanders want to do on offense.

3. New England Patriots – Jayden Daniels (QB LSU)

I think the Patriots trade out of this slot. Look for the Giants, Falcons, Vikings, and Raiders to all be players with Denver as a dark horse if JJ McCarthy is here.

4. Arizona Cardinals – Marvin Harrison Jr. (WR – Ohio State)

The Cardinals are in desperate need for a WR with Hollywood Brown headed for Free Agency. This could be Nabers but I’m sticking with Harrison.

5. LA Chargers – Joe Alt (OT – Notre Dame)

Jim Harbaugh is the new Head Coach in LA and he will want to establish the run. Look for the Chargers to trade back and for Drake Maye to go off the board here if one of the teams I mentioned above gets anxious.

6. New York Giants – Drake Maye (QB North Carolina)

The Giants need a QB of the future with it most certainly not being Daniel Jones. With Jones under contract for at least 2024, this gives them their QB of the future while he can sit and learn his rookie year.

7. Tennessee Titans – JC Latham (OT Alabama)

With Brian Callahan taking over as the Titans new Head Coach, his first job is re-tooling this offensive line and creating a top rushing attack. His father and now Offensive Line coach for the Titans loves big athletic maulers and he will have a field day coaching up Latham who is projected to come in at 6’6” / 360lbs.

8. Atlanta Falcons – Dallas Turner (Edge Alabama)

I think the Falcons try hard to move but to get a QB but if they fail, they’ll turn to Edge and help solidify the defensive line as Raheem Morris takes over as the new Head Coach.

9. Chicago Bears – Malik Nabers (WR LSU)

Nabers falls into the Bears lap and they spring to the podium to paid Nabers with DJ Moore for new QB, Caleb Williams.

10. New York Jets – Taliese Fuaga (OT – Oregon State)

I’ll likely be penciling in a Tackle here in every mock leading up to the draft and the Jets are the next suriest thing to take a lineman behind the Chargers and Titans.

11. Minnesota Vikings – Jared Verse (Edge Florida State)

12. Denver Broncos – Brock Bowers (TE Georgia)

13. Las Vegas Raiders – Terrion Arnold (CB Alabama)

14. New Orleans Saints – (OT Penn State)

15.Indianapolis Colts – (WR Washington)

16. Seattle Seahawks – (DT Texas)

17. Jacksonville Jaguars – Quinyon Mitchell (CB Toledo)

18. Cincinnati Bengals – Amarius Mims (OT Georgia)

19. Los Angeles Rams – Laiatu Latu (Edge UCLA)

20. Pittsburgh Steelers – Troy Fautanu (OT Washington)

21. Miami Dolphins – Graham Barton (OL Duke)

22. Philadelphia Eagles – Nate Wiggins (CB Clemson)

23. Houston Texans (from CLE) – Chop Robinson (Edge Penn State)

24. Dallas Cowboys – Brian Thomas Jr. (WR LSU)

25. Green Bay Packers – Kool-Aid McKinstry (CB Alabama)

26. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Keon Coleman (WR Florida State)

27. Arizona Cardinals (from HOU) – Cooper DeJean (CB Iowa)

28. Buffalo Bills – Darius Robinson (Edge Missouri)

29. Detroit Lions – Ennis Rakestraw Jr. (CB Missouri)

30. Baltimore Ravens – Jackson Powers-Johnson (OL Oregon)

31. San Francisco 49ers – Tyler Guyton (OT Oklahoma)

32. Kansas City Chiefs – Troy Franklin (WR Oregon)
